As mosquitoes naturally disperse their eggs across multiple sites, they inadvertently carry the larvicide to other breeding locations, effectively contaminating and eliminating larvae beyond the immediate vicinity of the station. The fungal infection further ensures that adult mosquitoes perish before they can transmit harmful viruses.
